Club Duties on Race Days


To assist with club days we need certain club day duties attended to.We will roster duty teams but you can help with the following.It is your club and it is really appreciated when people do the following things for us without being asked....remember,the committee also races on club days and it is not their job to do everything for you.It is your role as a club member to help out on club days....that's what makes our club great!
  • Open up clubhouse, turn off Alarm and ring Armourguard...0800-111-238, press 2 then 1 and give password
  • Turn on and fill Urn and put out tea,coffee,milk and sugar
  • Turn on water to mens' urinal, open toilet windows and top up paper towel dispensers, hand cleaner and toilet rolls
  • Turn on any fridges, if necessary
  • Put up and take down notices from Notice Board as necessary
  • Open up tech shed-100 Key can be used
  • Check Stewards Room clean and tidy
  • Open race tower-100 key can be used; check for nasties and give check if clean and tidy
  • Put out starting lights and check they are working.Make sure they can't swivel in the breeze
  • Put out lap counter and distribute flags to 5 flagpoints,finish line and dummy grid/pit gate.Make sure finish line has the white flag and chequered flag
  • Put out starter cones on main straight...four of them
  • Put out the 5 fire extinguishers at finish line,weigh shed,pit gate and flag points 2 and 4
  • Open Bottom Gate for Spectators and their cars-100 key can be used-relock chain and padlock onto gate
  • Open weigh shed-use 100 key
  • Set up compressor and air hoses in weigh shed,turn on scales
  • Make sure rubbish bins are empty and spread around venue
  • Put out welding plant
  • Set up sound system and microphone including tripod and speakers to container yard
  • Help set up BBQ
  • Help bring in shop goodies
  • Liaise with Senior Race Officials and agree on race conditions
  • Walk around and smile and greet new members
  • At completion of racing remove all rubbish to big bin and REVERSE THE ABOVE DUTIES
  • MAKE SURE CONTAINER YARD CLEAN AND SPOTLESS
  • When locking up,make sure the men's urinal is turned off...the water bill is unaffordable!!
